Curriculum

The course will teach you the nuances and give you an in-depth knowledge of fabric cutting and stitching of attires like trousers, culottes, pants, coats, jackets, and other western wear outfits. The course comprises of attire design and developing the design emphasizing a perfect body fit.

Introduction to Bifurcate Concept: In this section, you will be introduced to the concept of bifurcate garments, which include pants, trousers, and culottes. You will learn about the different styles and variations of these garments.

Pattern Making/Basic Pant Block: This module will cover the fundamentals of pattern making for pants. You will learn how to create a basic pant block, which serves as the foundation for designing different pant styles.

Jeans: Here, you will explore the unique characteristics of jeans and learn the techniques for creating a well-fitted and stylish pair of jeans.

Trouser: This section focuses on the construction and design of trousers. You will learn various methods for pattern making, cutting, and stitching to create tailored and fashionable trousers.

Culottes: Culottes are a popular and versatile garment in western wear. This module will teach you the techniques for pattern making and constructing culottes, allowing you to create trendy and comfortable outfits.

Cowl Pants: Cowl pants are known for their draped and flowy design. You will learn how to create the distinctive cowl effect in pants and master the construction techniques for this unique style.

Contoured Pants: Contoured pants are designed to provide an enhanced body fit. In this module, you will learn how to create patterns and construct contoured pants that accentuate the wearer’s figure.

Flared Pant: Flared pants have a wide leg opening, creating a stylish and vintage look. You will explore the techniques for pattern making and construction of flared pants in this module.

Pattern Making of Basic Coat Block: Coats are essential pieces in western wear. Here, you will learn the techniques for pattern making a basic coat block, laying the foundation for constructing different coat styles.

Jacket Block – 2 Inch Block: Jackets are versatile and stylish garments. In this module, you will learn how to create a 2-inch jacket block, which serves as the starting point for designing various jacket styles.

Garment Construction of Basic Pant: This section focuses on the practical aspects of constructing pants. You will learn the techniques for cutting, stitching, and finishing pant garments, with a special feature on center fly zip attachment.

Garment Construction of Basic Corset: Applying the knowledge of corset pattern making, this module will guide you through the construction process of corsets, enabling you to create well-fitted and structured garments.

Pattern Making/Shawl Collar: Shawl collars add a touch of elegance to jackets and coats. Here, you will learn how to create patterns for shawl collars and incorporate them into your designs.

Pattern Making of Notch Collar: Notch collars are commonly seen in blazers and coats. This module will teach you the techniques for pattern making notch collars, allowing you to create tailored and sophisticated garments.

• No prior software experience needed! We’ll teach software basics from scratch.
